Opening of the exhibition by Stefano Invernizzi curated by Marco Tagliafierro. The works by Invernizzi show a new, cool and allegorical manner of painting that reviews the styles of classical art and uses symbols that are connected one another in a neverending series.
The exhibition will run until the 29th October, from Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 pm.

Syrian wedding singer turned global dance icon Omar Souleyman presents Shlon (Arabic for “how,” or literally “which color”), 6 new techno-meets-dabke songs of romance and love to the world, all superimposed on complex techno arrangements by Hasan Alo, and based on the hi-speed Kurdish and Arabic dabke and baladi styles with the exception of “Mawwal” being presented in its traditionally slower pace.

In occasione dei cento anni dalla nascita di Jonas Mekas, il padre del New American Cinema Group, NU presenta la versione appena restaurata del lungometraggio di 4 ore presentato nel 2000 al London Film Festival che ricostruisce l’attività filmica di oltre 30 anni del regista, poeta e artista lituano. Il film è introdotto da Andrea Lissoni, curatore della sezione di NU Immagini in Movimento.
Nell’ambito del programma Jonas Mekas 100!, in collaborazione con il Lithuanian Film Center e l’Ambasciata della Repubblica di Lituania in Italia.

In the framework of electronic music, Ginevra Nervi’s research is based on exploring the vocal timbre using various techniques for manipulating sound. Ginevra also composed soundtracks for movies for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and films selected for Venice International Film Festival, and was nominated for the best original song at David di Donatello. At NU she presents her new album The Disorder of Appearances.

ZENO’S PARADOX: ACHILLES AND THE TORTOISE

Freely inspired by the mathematical paradox of Achilles and the turtle, the performance consists in a slow motion walking of an astronaut, the slow-motion walker par excellence, from one point to another in the urban context. In spite of the continuous provocation to sudden actions to react to the surroundings, the astronaut resists her gestures of slowness, in an increasingly paroxysmal contrast with the reality around her, and interacts with those she meets.
