On the occasion of the European Sustainable Mobility Week, we invite you to join a musical bike ride, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Sustainability and Mobility of the Comune di Novara. The route passes through the most significant historical and cultural places in the city center. The meeting point is at 8 pm in Piazza Gramsci, everybody with his own bike, the arrival at Conservatorio G. Cantelli at 9:30 pm. With the participation of the associations Fiab, Pedala Dritto, Legambiente Circolo “Il Pioppo,” and Novara Green. Music accompanies the ride, in collaboration with Conservatorio G. Cantelli di Novara.

A spectacular concert for the power of sound and lights that breaks through the traditional rules of the musical performance creating a close connection with the audience. The music has been composed by Vittorio Montalti working in relation with the ensemble Blow Up Percussion in order to create a unique sonic universe based on the whole scale of colours of percussion instruments. PLEASURE GARDEN. A LISTENING GARDEN

Starting on Friday 22 September with a talk by the lead artist Genevieve Lacey, and continuing across the weekend of 23 – 24 September, Pleasure Garden will be installed in the garden courtyard of the Museo di Storia Naturale “Faraggiana Ferrandi”.
Pleasure Garden is an innovative sound artwork which fuses music (contemporary electronic sounds by Lacey, Norwegian composer Jan Bang, and the music of 17th century Dutch composer, Jacob van Eyck), field recordings (birds, insects, carillon bells) and technology to create a contemplative, environmentally engaged, meditative experience for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. UMBERTO ORSINI NARRATES NOVARA

From an idea of Corrado BeldìTexts selection by Roberto Cicala, Novarese Center for Literary Studies.A series of literary texts by renowned writers such as Sebastiano Vassalli, Dante Graziosi, Mario Soldati, Carlo Emilio Gadda and Dino Campana narrates Novara through the legendary voice of Umberto Orsini. A sound walk crossing 25 locations in representative places throughout the city, from the city center to the suburbs, becomes available as an audio guide on smartphones, following a map that will be from now on provided to citizens and tourists in hotels and public places. The project is produced by Rest-Art for NU Arts and Community 2023 with the support of Comune di Novara, Azienda Turistica Locale and Interlinea.

Hamlet walks through the Rizzottaglia, a residential neighborhood in the city of Novara. With his smartphone he frames the social housing, the tall and similar buildings, the dozens of unauthorized satellite dishes, the cracks in the staircases. He hears yelling upon some Latin American music. This version of 'Hamlet' draws inspiration from people living here, in collaboration with Territorio e Cultura Odv.
