Sound ON OFF
NU is participation. NU is a social creative network. NU is innovation and tradition. NU is new productions. NU is breaking through disciplines. NU is theatre, dance, music, literature, circus, visual arts. NU is looking forward, from the crossroad of the two principal railway axes in the North of Italy. NU is a pause for reflection and at the same time a shock. NU is the city and its places. NU is Novara’s cultural and social associations. NU is Novarese people. NU is Nuàra, the ancient name of Novara, slang and symbol of new nourishment. NU is a simple and emblematic logo that represents the creative spirit of Novara.

DRINKING BUDDIES: THE STORY OF CHARLES BUKOWSKI

30 years after Charles Bukowski's death, the jazz quartet Boom Boom Beckett brings to the stage a new show from the Musical Storytelling series, where life and literature of a key figure in 20th-century literature blend in a passionate, heartbreaking, conflicting, and at the same time brilliant dialogue, just as Bukowski's life itself was. Between colossal drinking bouts, horse racing bets, women as messed up and dissolute as him, the conflicting relationship with his father, the beginning of his wanderings, up to the great turning point: worldwide success, love with the poet and sculptor Linda King. In collaboration with Circolo dei Lettori

MASSIMO SILVERIO
HURDJA

Hurdja, a Lombard ancestor of the word Grusa, a Friulian term indicating the crust that forms when a wound heals, a metaphor for rebirth and healing but also for a coat of arms, a memory of something that is disappearing. Rooted in the tradition of the border land and in the ancient idiom, the project blends poetry, classical and contemporary sounds. Silverio creates a unique imaginary, mixing classical, popular, and electronic instruments, with voice as the central element. Singing in Carnic and English, the artist weaves minority stories with universal themes, creating a personal and evocative musical language. "Hurdja" thus offers a sound experience that embraces tradition and innovation, local and global.

GOLGOTHA

By Andrea Gattinoni
A powerful theatrical performance set in Berlin in 2023, exploring the consequences of a criminal act committed by a group of adolescents, investigating the banality of evil and the complex emotional journey from adolescence to adulthood. Through a story with a dark heart, the show highlights young people's struggle to understand and contain the evil of the adult world, revealing the challenges in recognizing fears, needs, violence, and love. "GOLGOTHA" is not only an engaging theatrical experience but also the basis for a future feature film, promising to bring this important reflection to an even broader stage.

RUTH

By and with Francesca Cola, Paola Lesina
Ruth is a mythological and futuristic figure that embodies the connection between species and natural cyclicity. This more-than-human creature inhabits a space of survival, creating bonds and new narratives through a language of sounds and words. The Ruth project is a performative and participatory experience that invites communities to explore new relationships and a multispecies "becoming-with". Inspired by the Navajo skein game, it promotes a dialogue between art, philosophy, and nature, inviting us to rethink the relationships between humans and non-humans in a perspective of harmony and sustainability.

CIRCO PACCO
PACCOTTIGLIA DELUXE, SUPERIOR QUALITY NONSENSE!

By and with Alessandro Galletti and Francesco GarutiA show devoid of seriousness in which the world of Circus is revived in a parodic key thanks to Frank Duro & Gustavo Leumann, two authentic charlatans who, at every lap of the track, in an attempt to set up their show, try by all means to earn the center of the stage and the applause of the public. In their hands and on their shoulders, a whole circus without a tent, where they challenge each other with numbers on the verge of ridicule at the cost of overwhelming each other, among showers of popcorn, eccentric acrobatics, improbable animals, bags, and unruly wigs.

THE BANALITY OF THE SEA

Born from an investigation into seasonal work in Rimini, the show narrates the story of a seasonal worker today and one from 1891, the year of the first celebration of Workers' Day in Italy. The life of two men torn and broken in two between the impossibility of being able to love, to live, at least exist, and the courage to face an existence that tries in every way to crush you, in which the working condition is a white noise that always accompanies them. That always accompanies us. Yesterday as today. TICKETS VIEW MORE
